How often do we hear the phrase "No Foot No Horse" ?
As natural athletes, horses don´t perform to the best of their ability if uncomfortable or unsound on their feet.
We as "stock-men" decide what we feel is best for them, be it right or wrong. The animal bear´s the consequences of these decisions.
What we can do! As experience has proven in the past, is that with well balanced and well maintained hooves the animal is more relaxed when on comfortable feet.
Hence better performance.
As a professional full time farrier for over forty years, experienced in all fields of hoof care from Olympic and International competition horses to racing and general riding horses. I can offer good, sound, practical advice in layman's terms to those involved in the Equine Industry. I will discuss and develop a better understanding of the balance and function of the horses hoof according to conformation, workload, environment, age and the animals well being.
